William Hurt, Star of the 'Broadcast News' and 'Body Heat' was a good actor.

Actor William Hurt was one of the 1980s' foremost leading men in movies like Broadcast News, Body Heat  and The Big Chill.

 William Hurt's son, Will, said in a statement that William Hurt died on Sunday of natural causes.

"Hurt died peacefully among his family" his son said.

William Hurt died at his home in Portand, Oregon.

Hurt was previously diagnosed with prostate cancer that had spred to his bone in 2018.

Hurt was four times nominated for an Academy Award, winning for 1985's "Kiss of the Spider Women."

Actor William Hurt was born in washington DC, his father was working in State Department. His parents divorced when he was young.

Hurt also struggled with drug and alcohol abuse and attended rehabilitation clinics.

Actor William Hurt always an intelligent screen presence, gradually morphed into a character actor.
